Facial Rejuvenation

Look Years Younger Naturally Without Chemicals or Surgery

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a natural way to noticeably enhance your complexion by addressing the underlying causes of aging and disease.

This treatment helps improve muscle tone, fill out wrinkles, reduce puffiness, restore healthy facial coloring, and treat conditions like acne and very dry skin.

It is a revitalizing and rejuvenating process that is designed to support your whole body in looking – and feeling – years younger. The treatments actually support your metabolism, regulate hormones in the body, and increase the circulation of blood, lymph and Qi – or vital energy — to the face.

While Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is not a replacement for cosmetic surgery, it is far less costly, safe, virtually painless, and has no negative side effects or risks of disfigurement.

Beauty from the Inside Out

A full course of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture lasts 12 to 15 sessions. A typical course of treatment consists of:

1. Initial 30 minute in-person consultation

2. Two sessions a week for the first three weeks (recommended)

3. Weekly sessions thereafter.

The most noticeable effects emerge around the seventh session. Monthly maintenance sessions can also prolong results for five to ten years, following the initial course of treatment.

How it Works

Like other forms of acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation works to stimulate the circulation of blood and Qi through the body’s meridians, or energy channels.

Thousands of years ago, the Chinese discovered that many of these channels, or meridians, either begin or end on the face. And others have internal branches that go to the face.

Inserting hair-thin needles into certain acupuncture points – places where Qi gathers — of the head, ears, face, neck, and limbs not only give a more youthful appearance to the face… they also treat the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process.

What to Expect

Lauren makes sure each Facial Rejuvenation visit is as relaxing as a day at the spa. Each session includes a full body constitutional treatment, followed by a facial acupressure massage using organic therapeutic grade essential oils. Lauren also uses an infrared heat lamp on the feet or abdomen to assist with increasing the circulation of blood, lymph and the activity of the nervous system.

The Role of Essential Oils

Essential oils play an important role in Facial Rejuvenation. Lauren uses an exclusive selection of organic, therapeutic-grade essential oils during the course of treatment. While essential oils are used in cosmetics and skin care, they usually are of a commercial grade, which means that they do not have the same healing properties.

Therapeutic-grade essential oils are the purest available, and are distilled at low temperatures for a longer duration to preserve their healing properties.

Lauren uses essential oils widely known for their healing and therapeutic properties. For example, rosehip seed oil is high is essential fatty acids and offers wonderful nourishment for dry, weathered and dehydrated skin. It has been used for healing and skin care by indigenous people in the Andes for centuries.

Other therapeutic oils always on hand during facial treatments include: carrot seed oil, lavender, and roman chamomile. Each treatment finishes with the application of a special skin renewal formula containing Chinese herbs known to hydrate cells, promote new cell growth, support the circulatory and lymph systems, alleviate pain, and promote the movement of Qi (among other properties.)
